Job Description

Technology is the engine that drives us forward and RBC is continuing to evolve to meet changing customer needs through technology and innovation. This role will be within the Centre of Excellence for Tia’s testing strategies, quality and tone of writing, and strategy for ensuring the bot is accessible. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Conversation Design Quality, Standards and Accessibility, this role will support driving quality using predefined processes, tools along with early defect prevention/detection. It will be responsible for test case creation and execution, maximizing test coverage and using business analysis

What will you do?

  • Contribute to Tia’s test strategies and plans

  • Contribute to the development and adoption of quality assurance practices

  • Provide feedback on quality of deliverables and escalate quality issues

  • Responsible for creating, automating and executing test cases for feature, functionality and content for each Tia release (unit testing and regression testing) and on an ongoing basis on all Tia interfaces (i.e. web, mobile, iFrame – Connect and Tech Hub)

  • Partners across the Tia team (developers, conversation designers) to prepare and execute test cases for existing features and functionalities to ensure requirements are met.

  • Responsible for maintaining test cases as business requirements change.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related (technical) degree / diploma

  • Experience in test case design at different levels (component/service/APIs, integration, mobile, end to end/user scenarios) or non-functional testing

  • Hands on experience in script development using scripting languages and programming (e.g., Javascript, typescript, and BASH)

  • Experience in a QA/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments

  • Very good communication skills; ability to focus and prioritize and solve complex technical problems

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience working with various frameworks Agile or Iterative Waterfall Software

  • Proven technical writing skills

  • Knowledge of conversation design and chatbots
